Disney has taken a page from the playbook of the big brands and turned Mickey Mouse into a holiday product for children.
The company released a new Mickey Mouse merch video on Wednesday titled “Mickey Mouse and the Miracle on Ice,” featuring clips of the animated Disney classic, including the original Mickey Mouse, Mickey Mouse with the Snow White Hat, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, and the Mouse with a Green Hornet.
The videos were created in collaboration with the Walt Disney Animation Studios and Walt Disney Consumer Products, the company said.
The videos feature new Mickey mouse merchandise from the first film in the franchise, Mickey the Roadie.
The video features clips from a variety of Disney animated films, including Mickey Mouse’s Snow White Castle, Mickey & Minnie’s Snowy Kingdom, Mickey’s Fantasyland, and Mickey’s Christmas Carol, which is about Mickey’s relationship with his snowman.

The new merchandise includes Mickey Mouse socks, Mickey mouse shoes, Mickey glove-shaped hats, Mickey mice with Mickey mice, Mickey hat-shaped sunglasses, Mickey-themed ice cream, and more.
The Walt Disney company also announced that it has released three new films in the Mickey series, The Merry Christmas Carol and the Holiday Wish.
The first two films were released on March 21, 2019, and have since grossed more than $1.9 billion worldwide.
The third film, Mickey: Christmas Carol starring Tom Hanks and Amy Poehler, will be released on May 24, 2020.
