YouTube is getting into the podcasting game with its new “listener Content” feature.
This is the third such feature in a year, and it’s part of the company’s plan to make podcasts more accessible to a wider audience, as it attempts to stay ahead of the curve in the new medium.
This new feature, which launches today, allows you to subscribe to a podcast, download its audio files, and then watch its episodes as if you were watching them in real time.
There are two ways to subscribe: via a button on the right-hand side of the YouTube page, or via the pop-up menu on the left-hand navigation bar.
YouTube says that it will begin to allow this to work across other platforms in a future update.
You can sign up for a free trial right here.
As with the other three features, the idea behind this is that you’re not just subscribing to the podcast.
You’re also giving up access to all the content.
You’ll still have access to a curated collection of videos and podcasts, but that’s a different thing.
You might be able to watch the first two episodes of a podcast on YouTube, but you can’t watch the entire thing.
For now, you’ll have to click a “play” button on each episode to watch them in full.
You also have the option to subscribe directly to a specific episode, though the videos and audio files are limited to the episodes.
All of this, of course, is subject to change and will be subject to additional content updates.
It’s still very early days for the new feature and, in the coming months, we’ll be keeping an eye on how it develops.
The new feature is part of a larger change YouTube has made in its podcasting efforts in the past year.
In 2016, the company announced the launch of its Podcasts in the News initiative, which aims to make podcasting accessible to as many people as possible.
This included the new “playlists” that can be found in the sidebar of a YouTube video, which can be downloaded for free.
YouTube has also made it easier to subscribe, too.
All you have to do is select a podcast and click on the “Subscribe” button, which will appear on the top of the podcast page.
You will be redirected to a pop-ups menu with a link that will take you to the YouTube Podcasts website.
You simply need to download the audio file and open it up in a podcast player.
It’ll take a few moments to download and open, but after that, you’re good to go.
YouTube now allows you subscribe to podcasts via the same “playlist” feature that will now also work with the YouTube Playlists app.
All three features are available now, and there’s also an audio player that can play the podcasts.
We have a podcast about YouTube that you should listen to right now: The best of YouTube, our top podcasts, our picks for the best podcasts, and more.
YouTube is also rolling out the “YouTube Playlists” app to its YouTube Playlist users, and you can find this in the YouTube sidebar right now.
As for the future, YouTube says it plans to release more “listening experience improvements” to the site, which includes the ability to mute audio, change the audio track, and mute a playlist at any time.
It also says that its “listeners content” feature will be available to all users, as well as to users who have been using the service for a while.
That’s good news for podcasters, and a big step towards more accessibility in podcasting.
