A new video has been posted to YouTube’s YouTube TV account with a new message from YouTube’s VP of Product Strategy, Kevin Hu.
Hu says that the channel will be the platform that YouTube TV will be built upon in the near future.
YouTube TV is a subscription-based streaming service that is expected to be able to offer more than a million channels, and the channel is expected with its first episode in the spring.
We hope you’ll be as excited as we are to launch YouTube TV, and look forward to seeing you on the platform in the future.
“YouTube TV is one of the key platforms that will allow the YouTube team to focus on building the future of video and entertainment,” said Hu.
We are excited to see what YouTube TV can do, but it is important to note that YouTube has a very long way to go to become a true competitor to Netflix. “
While YouTube TV has yet to launch, we will be announcing more details as they become available.”

While the service will offer more channels, YouTube TV also will not offer a streaming service.
Google’s own video platform, Google Chromecast, is also available on the market for a $35 monthly subscription.
YouTube is expected launch the service in the fall.
